This can be altered many different ways. Use your own elements in place of the flowers of layer some flowers. Use your own corner flourishs and ribbons.

The possibilities for this one are endless. The black block could be a photo with the white being the journaling or vice versa.

Playing with brushes
I thought it would be neat to use whatever brushes you like to make your own background and then the small squares could be journaling blocks, photos or hold elements. My brushes are just for demonstration purposes.
